http://greatamericanzeroes.com/ "hung" Rep Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn) for telling the truth then recanting, an especially egregious crime in these waning days of liberty. Below is St George Frederick's explantion:
We've never hung a person then recommended her re-election at the time, but when one speaks a truth, then recants, what else can we do?
The facts: On Oct 17 Rep Bachmann appeared on Chris Matthews Hardball, and being pressed said that modern liberals are anti-American. Of course, she was wrong...for perhaps 10% of modern American liberals, but the logic is clear...one cannot be both a socialist and pro-American in the historic constitutional sense. Socialists are by definition anti-Constitution and therefore, anti-American.
She was right. And she was even proved right when the same people who have carried out some of the most vicious McCarthy-ite attacks over the last several years, Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber only recent demonstrations, accused her of McCarthyism for advocating the public lashing back at the mainstream media (which we wholeheartedly agree) for the lies they have purveyed in this.
The sad thing is she quickly recanted and has spent the last week or so apologizing for saying what is true.
She is a craven coward.
But there are bigger, much bigger things at stake in this election; the salvation of the Constitution, and at least one more free election 2-4 years hence, among them. Therefore we recommend that the people of the 6th District re-elect Rep Bachmann...
...then quickly look for a replacement in 2010 primary, once she has been safely sworn in.
Congresswoman Bachman is a type, not very different from Katherine Harris of Florida or the current Secretary of State of Ohio, who in four years will either be in jail or seeking her own Congressional term. She is as shallow as a pool of warm spit and as ambitious as a pickpocket in Khartoum.
We can't know her heart, but believe her personal vanities and ambitions far outweigh any deep seated reverence for America or the U S Constitution. Too bad, but her type needs to removed from public office, at every level...only not to be replaced by anti-American socialists.
